We are technically celebrating two-years (7th & 8th) so we promise this will be the most evil line up of beers + mayhem we have crafted yet. Plus, we are releasing a special beer exclusively at this event.

Bottle Share: 

If you have attended any of our Bottle Share events, then you know these are special events where guests are encouraged to bring special beers (aka “whales”) they have collected or aged to share with the group. These could be Adroit Theory beers you have been saving, but more often they are beers from various US and International breweries that you have been saving for a special occasion. For instance, we will supply a good number of Stouts from prior years (like Demons or All That I Have Learned), but we will also provide beers from the Bruery (like Black Tuesday, So Happens It’s Thursday, etc). 

 

It is not mandatory to bring a bottle/cans to the event, but encouraged. We suggest bringing a minimum of (1) bottle/can to share with the other attendees. There is no maximum number of how many you can bring other than the logistics of getting them to the party.

 

The Bottle Share will take place in the tent on the front of the building. The entire tent will be dedicated to the Bottle Share, and you may sample anything available. Adroit Theory staff will be present to show you where to put your bottles/cans upon your arrival, and will assist in pouring the guest beers. Please note, VA ABC rules prohibit guests from bringing guest beers INSIDE the Brewery or Tap Room. Guest Beers must remain inside the separate tent at all times.

 

Changes from Last Year:

If you attended last year, thank you! There are some changes from the setup last year. Please review the following changes:

 

We will NOT have a 2nd bar in the outside tent. Only Guest Beers as part of the Bottle Share will be in the tent. All Adroit Theory beers will be inside the Tap Room.

 

We will have several stations set up serving the EXACT same beers at each station. Simply queue up to the most convenient station, and sample at will. We are optimistic this strategy will reduce bottlenecks at the bar. That said, please be respectful. Order your drink at the bar and then step aside. Do NOT congregate at the bar(s). If the line is too long (particularly at the beginning of the event) simply visit the tent to sample Guest Beers. This is a 5-hour event so there will be plenty of times to sample everything.

 

This is an UNLIMITED SAMPLES event. There are no drink tickets. 

 

No cans of ANY beer is included with your Dawn of a Dark Day: BEER EDITION ticket. You will be given the option of purchasing cans when you purchase your event tickets, but ZERO “to go” beer is included with your standard ticket price.

 

All retail sales for merchandise, apparels, “to go”, cans, including the special release beer you may purchase ahead of time, will be held at a separate table inside the Brewery. There is a single door in the Tap Room that leads to the rear Brewing area. Tables will be set up in that area to reduce congestion in the Tap Room. There will be. ZERO sales in the Tap Room itself.

 

There will be ZERO growler sales at this event.

 

The METAL EDITION is NOT included with your Dawn of a Dark Day: BEER EDITION ticket. It will need to be purchased separately. If you purchase tickets for both the BEER + METAL event, you will be allowed to stay in the “Red Room” during the hour between the conclusion of the BEER event and the beginning of the METAL event. This is the area in our rear brewery where the Tap Room bar originally was located. We will have tables and chairs setup, and will be serving some private beers to guests while they wait.

 

This is a pre-paid type event, but please remember your bartenders. They work hard on an event like this, and tips are greatly appreciated including on merchandise sales.

 

Pre-Paid Release Beer Pickup:

We expect that everyone who purchases cans online with their Dawn of a Dark Day: BEER EDITION ticket will attend the event. If you are unsure if you will be able to attend the event in person, please DO NOT purchase the Release Beer. We are releasing this beer to be collected in person, and will not sell the beer after the event weekend. 

 

That said, we realize sometimes things happen to prevent attendance. Here are some things you need to know about pre-paid cans:

 

• No proxies allowed for can release pick up. 
• You will need to bring your ID that matches your ticket checkout name.
• We will hold any cans purchased ONLY for Saturday March 26th and Sunday March 27th.
• Any cans not picked up by Sunday March 27th will be forfeit, and no refunds will be issued.
• We are not shipping this beer. If purchased, it needs to be picked up at the Tasting Room in person. 
• If there are leftover cans available after Saturday March 26th they will be available for sale on Sunday March 27th on a first come, first serve basis. If for some strange reason we are not sold out by COB on Sunday March 27th, we will ship these beers to our international distributors.

 

Refunds:

No cancellations or refunds. 

 

Vaccinations:

We are requiring all guests to show proof of vaccination. We are not specifying a type, number, or boosted status; simply a base vaccination.

 

Age: 

This is a 21+ age event.

 

Designated Drivers:

We are not offering a specific ticket for Non-Drinkers or Designated Drivers. Each attendee must purchase a General Admission ticket.

 

Non-Alcoholic Drinks:

We will provide complimentary water bottles to all attendees throughout the duration of the event. Please note, we do NOT offer any other non-beer related beverages like wine, liquor, soda, juice, etc.

 

Parking:

There is ZERO parking at Adroit Theory. If you drive, you should park in the Commuter Lot to the right of the brewery. There are well over 150 spaces, and you can leave your car overnight as there is no gate. If the lot is full, you can park on North Bailey Lane directly behind the brewery. Or better yet, arrive via Uber or Lyft.

 

Weather:

Both Dawn of a Dark Day: BEER + METAL will be held in a heated tent on the front of the building. It is a rain or shine event. That said, it is late March, and there are some weather conditions (Ice, Significant Snow, etc) that might force us to reschedule this event. We will make a decision on any rescheduling on the Thursday before the event.

 

Changes or Substitutions:

We will update all social media platforms and ticket sites with any information that changes from the original post. Note, Adroit Theory reserves the right to make any changes to the event to accommodate unforeseen events. All details are subject to change including Adroit Theory beer releases, Guest Beers, and Bands. Adroit Theory will strive to relay changes to guests, and take reasonable steps if substitutions will be made.

 

Over Consumption:

WE WILL MONITOR ANY OVER CONSUMPTION CLOSELY AND WILL CUT OFF ANY PATRONS AT ANY TIME. OVERLY INTOXICATED INDIVIDUALS WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE EVENT WITH NO REFUND.
